These are sturdy double walled units with outer chamber made of M.S. sheet duly enamel painted with inner made up of   S.S. Sheet.  The gap between inner and outer chamber is filled with high-grade glass wool to avoid thermal losses. Beaded heating elements are placed in ribs, at bottom and sides.  Inner chamber is provided with ribs for adjusting perforating shelves to convenient height.

Temperature is controlled by Digital temperature indicator and controller from ambient to 250ºC ± 2ºC. Air ventilator is also provided on the sides of the unit.  Fitted with a air circulation fan. Manufactured and tested to work on 220/230 volts A.C. supply.

Laboratory Hot air ovens are electrical devices which use dry heat to sterilize. They were originally developed by Pasteur. Generally, they use a thermostat to control the temperature. Their double walled insulation keeps the heat in and conserves energy, the inner layer being a poor conductor and outer layer being metallic.

Hot air ovens use extremely high temperatures over several hours to destroy microorganisms and bacterial spores. The ovens use conduction to sterilize items by heating the outside surfaces of the item, which then absorbs the heat and moves it towards the center of the item.
